 Doula

A Birth Doula is your personalized advocate who will provide support and encouragement throughout your pregnancy. This support will continue through labor, birth and the immediate postpartum days following your birth. A Birth Doula will be your liaison to facilitate communication and share information during your birthing experience all while serving as a non- medical part of the birth team. Your Birth Doula will also encourage and guide your partner throughout your pregnancy, labor and birth.

A Postpartum Doula will assist, coach and educate the family on techniques and strategies to ease the transition of welcoming baby home from the hospital. A Postpartum Doula will encourage participation from all members of the family and be able to provide support to client and partner individually.

Lactation Consultant

A Lactation Consultant is a trained professional who provides education and guidance on the basics of breastfeeding and breastfeeding difficulties. Each consultant is deeply committed to providing families with evidence- based care and supporting each mom through their breastfeeding, nursing and chest feeding journey. A lactation consultant assists mother’s who also have intentions of returning to work and will plan to build a supply while being a working mother. They attempt to help each breastfeeding mother accomplish their goals with proper guidance, technique and knowledge to ensure their breastfeeding experience is exactly what they intend.

Newborn Care Specialist

A Newborn Care Specialist is an individual who has great experience and specialized training in newborn care. A NCS comes into the home shortly after your baby is born to care for the baby and educate the parents on best practices in newborn care. It is expected that a NCS be knowledgeable in a variety of methods pertaining to but not limited to soothing, parenting, newborn well-being, abnormalities/sickness, and sleep conditioning. It’s advised that encouraging good habits will potentially lead to establishing a routine and eventually a set schedule over time.
